This opportunity is ideal for experienced retail pharmacists seeking a per diem role that offers schedule flexibility and the chance to support a dynamic pharmacy team. Located in Vail, AZ, you will become part of a dedicated group of 2-3 pharmacists prepared to provide reliable coverage for call outs, vacations, and volume surges.

Pharmacy operations run Monday through Saturday, generally from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with some sites operating until 8 p.m. While specific shifts or hours cannot be guaranteed, the ideal candidate is available part time, working 2-4 days per week to assist as needed. The prescription volume typically ranges from 100 to 125 per day, offering a manageable and engaging pace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert retail pharmacy services, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medications
• Collaborate closely with technician staff at larger pharmacies; independently manage PHARMACIST ONLY sites as required
• Complete thorough training, including at least one 8-hour session, to become familiar with pharmacy operations and QS1 system software
• Maintain immunization privileges and current BLS certification to support patient care initiatives

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a retail pharmacy setting with strong knowledge of retail pharmacy workflows
• Immunization privilege and BLS card required
• Ability to adapt to varying pharmacy environments including both technician-supported and pharmacist-only locations
• Comfortable learning and working with QS1 pharmacy management system
