Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract
• Healthcare Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital – Outpatient & Acute Care
• Location: Cottonwood, AZ 86326 (Arizona SLP jobs)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/26/2026)
• Shift: Day Shift, Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Hours: 40 hours/week (Guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1970 - $2020
• Patient Population: 85% Pediatric Outpatient, 15% Adult Outpatient + 1 day Adult Acute Care
• Daily Caseload: 12–14 patients
• EMR: Cerner
• Dress Code: Business Casual
• Parking: Free on-site parking

SLP Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Arizona
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (new travel SLPs welcome)
• Active BLS certification
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience with pediatric and adult populations preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system is a plus
• Strong assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning skills
• Ability to float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Deliver speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and therapy for pediatric and adult patients in outpatient and acute care settings
• Perform specialized assessments including FEES and Modified Barium Swallow Studies
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care and progress using Cerner EMR
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and therapy progress
• Participate in discharge planning and patient reassessments
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and Arizona state regulations
