Description Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an experienced Controller to join one of our construction clients on an interim basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction accounting who is ready to lead and manage critical financial operations. Responsibilities: - Lead and provide mentorship to a small accounting team, fostering their growth. - Oversee and execute all aspects of the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting. - Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to support business decision-making. - Manage job costing and provide detailed project financial reporting. - Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations to maintain efficiency and accuracy. - Monitor cash flow and develop financial forecasts to support business objectives. - Enforce compliance with accounting principles, industry standards, and company policies. Requirements - Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar senior accounting role. - Advanced proficiency in Sage 300 (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Excel. - Strong hands-on experience with daily accounting tasks and operations. - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide and manage a team effectively. - Prior experience in a hybrid work environment, combining on-site and remote collaboration. - Background in the construction industry, including expertise in percent of completion accounting, work-in-progress schedules, lien management, and job costing.
