Position Title: Collection Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85040 (Hybrid)

Duration: Full time

Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.00/hr. on W2

Note: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint), basic math skills, and knowledgeable of FDCPA and relevant collection laws.

Job Description:

Position: Collections Team Member

As a Collections Team member, you will play a vital role in managing delinquent auto loan accounts by coordinating collection activities. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and notify customers with overdue payments and work to secure payment. Key duties include receiving payments, preparing statements for the credit department when customers do not respond, and maintaining accurate records of all collection efforts.

Equipment for this role will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts to solicit payment.

Receive payments and update account information accordingly.

Prepare and submit statements to the credit department as necessary.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of collection activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Knowledge of and compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) as well as local, state, and federal collection laws.

Training and Work Schedule:

Training (approx. 5 weeks):

Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM MST

In-office: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Post-Training:

Monday to Thursday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM MST

Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM MST

Saturday: Rotating (approx. every third week), 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM MST

Hybrid: Minimum 2–3 days in-office per week

Compensation:

Hourly pay ranges from $19 to $24, commensurate with experience.

Familiarity with culture, systems, or environment is a strong plus
