The Nail Salon Manager will oversee all aspects of the salon’s operations, ensuring exceptional service, smooth day-to-day functioning, and a positive environment for both clients and staff. The manager will supervise nail technicians, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and manage customer service and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities :1. Salon Operations :
- Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth and efficient running of the salon.
- Schedule appointments and manage the booking system, ensuring optimal use of technicians and resources.
- Monitor and maintain salon cleanliness and organization, ensuring a safe and inviting environment for both clients and staff.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy.
2. Team Management :
- Hire, train, and supervise nail technicians and other salon staff.
- Foster a positive work environment, encourage team collaboration, and provide continuous feedback and development opportunities for staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed to ensure quality service.
- Ensure that staff follow salon policies, procedures, and health/safety protocols.
3. Customer Service :
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clients are satisfied with services and experiences.
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly to maintain customer loyalty.
- Upsell and promote additional services or products to clients as appropriate.
4. Financial Management :
- Manage salon’s budget, ensuring that expenses (e.g., supplies, utilities) are controlled and profit margins are met.
- Handle cash flow, process payments, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Order supplies and manage inventory to maintain proper stock levels.
- Track sales and other key performance indicators to meet salon goals.
5. Marketing and Promotion :
- Develop and implement promotional strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Coordinate loyalty programs, special offers, or seasonal promotions.
- Utilize social media and other marketing channels to promote services and maintain an online presence.
6. Health and Safety Compliance :
- Ensure the salon complies with all local, state, and federal health regulations.
- Regularly inspect the salon for cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Ensure nail technicians are trained in sanitation, disinfection, and safety procedures.
Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business management or related field is a plus.
- Experience :
- Previous experience as a salon manager or in a supervisory role in a salon is preferred.
- Experience in the nail industry or with nail care products and services is highly beneficial.
- Skills :
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks, including budgeting, inventory, and scheduling.
- Proficiency with salon management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Working Conditions :
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical activities.
- Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Shift:
- 10 hour shift
