Medical Front Office Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Front Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy Ophthalmology practice front desk and reception area. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a medical office setting and be able to work independently in a high patient volume environment.
Duties:
- Oversee patient registration and check in, obtaining and updating accurate patient/insurance verification information
- Ensure smooth operation of phone systems and handle all incoming calls with professionalism
- Manage patient interactions with professionalism, scheduling appointments, and maintaining confidentiality
- Maintain a welcoming and organized reception area
- Schedule and coordinate surgical appointments for patients
- Evaluate patient data to verify all information that has been received, completed and signatures obtained including insurance verification and proper authorizations/referrals
- Ability to proactively respond to changing demands
- Accepts and resolves patient complaints
- Ability to work effectively as a team member with Physicians and other staff
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Ophthalmology office setting
- Must have good computer skills
- Knowledge of EHR systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA rules & regulations
- Knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
- Multi-Tasking ability
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- High school graduate or equivalent
Hours:
Monday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Tuesday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Wednesday - 6:30am to 1:00pm
Thursday - 8:00am - 5:00pm
No Fridays or Weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
