Project Manager (6118)

Overview

itD is seeking a Project Manager to lead in-store merchandising initiatives that drive impactful retail experiences across the U.S. market. This role is critical in ensuring customers can discover, learn, and engage with wearable technology products through best-in-class physical retail execution. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in retail merchandising and project management, along with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-quality in-store programs across complex retail environments.

Location: Remote in US (PST preferred)

Duration: 10 months

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and management of in-store merchandising programs across thousands of retail locations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, sales, analytics, and external vendors to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Manage third-party labor agencies to execute merchandising initiatives in retail environments, ensuring timelines, quality, and deliverables are met.
• Develop detailed execution plans and workback schedules across multiple product lines and initiatives.
• Monitor and track field execution, analyze performance data, and provide reporting to internal stakeholders.
• Identify risks and operational challenges, proactively resolving issues through collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Oversee budgeting and invoice processing to ensure projects remain within financial targets.

Internal Responsibilities

• Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
• Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
• Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
• Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications And Skills

• 3+ years of experience in retail in-store merchandising (brand or vendor side).
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing third-party labor or vendor teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, large-scale retail execution programs across multiple locations.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise updates across teams.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex installations and execution plans.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

• Experience working with optical or specialty retail environments.
• Experience planning and executing large-scale merchandising installations from concept through production.
• Familiarity with managing budgets and maintaining financial accountability.
• Experience working in highly cross-functional environments.
• Experience with in-store technology demos or retail tech environments.
• Experience in mobile carrier or specialty retail industries.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
