Office Assistant for Marketing

The Global Education Office (GEO) is seeking an Office Assistant to assist in administrative and marketing duties. This entry-level position is full-time and a great opportunity for recent graduates looking to gain professional experience in the international education field. ASU GEO is a leader in global education sending in excess of 2,600 students abroad annually on traditional mobility programs including study abroad, internship, service-learning and research opportunities and has developed a growing portfolio of online global learning programs that enrolls an additional 1,000+ students each academic year. The office has a strong commitment to professional development. You will have opportunities both internally and externally to grow your skill set and knowledge base. The Office Assistant will assist with general administration projects, customer service and application processing, research and analysis, procedural studies, and marketing and outreach. This position requires a high-level of attention to detail and requires initiative and independent judgment. The Office Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Coordinator in order to gain working knowledge and experience related to department administration and marketing. The Office Assistant will provide outreach support and assist with supervising the Recruiter student worker team at the Global Education Office. Intended start date will be December 4.

01Essential Duties
Serves in an assistant capacity for the Global Education Office, which will include the following duties and responsibilities:- Assist in supervision of student workers
- Assist in event coordination and promotion
- Manage reception area, including answering phone calls, managing student application materials, general secretarial duties and responding to general office emails
- Manage publishing of content to GEO social media channels, creating branded content and assisting with social strategy
- Assist with graphic design needs, website updates, copy writing needs and any marketing duties as assigned
- Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator on GEO marketing initiatives including the creation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaigns
- Serve as general contact with facilities management
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Participate in regular staff meetings and special projects with GEO staff as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
No prior experience required; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Evidence of a Bachelor's degree
- Experience in customer service
- Evidence of participation in a study abroad or internship program
- Experience working in a professional office setting
- Experience in effective time management and organizational skills
- Experience in Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, Salesforce and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience designing graphics for web, social media and print flyers/posters
- Experience in marketing and event coordination
