What’s Under The Hood

DriveTime Family of Brands includes in-house financing and servicing through Bridgecrest, which is one of the country’s leading financial servicing providers. Bridgecrest services roughly $25+ billion in finance receivables for DriveTime and other third parties. We service auto loans across a wide credit spectrum with the intent of creating a strong path to vehicle ownership for our customers.

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist. In this role, you’ll help build the foundational quantitative strategy that drives our marketing decisions. You won’t just be building models in a silo—you’ll be deeply embedded within the Marketing team, partnering closely with stakeholders to influence real business outcomes. What makes Data Science at DriveTime different is the level of impact and visibility. Our models directly influence day-to-day decisions across the business.

In Long, The Data Scientist Is Responsible For

• Working with business partners to define objectives and build appropriate solutions
• Partnering with business customers to manage data for modeling
• Partnering with Machine Learning Engineers in development and implementation of models
• Presenting results of analysis to leaders and colleagues

So what are we looking for?

• Killer analytics and reporting abilities. You’ll need the capability to analyze data and in return, prepare timely reports on your findings.
• A mind for the details. Okay, we know “detail-oriented” is on about every job description – but we really mean it!
• Fantastic problem solver. Your job is not only to find the problem, but more importantly, find the solution.
• Agile in a fast-paced environment. We move, and we move quickly. Thriving in an environment that never stops, is a must.
• Intellectual curiosity. Why? What? How? Do you find yourself always wanting to learn more and broaden your knowledge base? If so, this could be the role for you!
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to talk and write with confidence, charisma and competence for a wide variety of audiences including management.

What do you need?

• Bachelors or master’s student with a graduation date between December 2025 – May 2026
• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative disciplines.
• Able to read and write in Python
• Working knowledge in SQL, Tableau and Excel
• An understanding of the Data Science Life Cycle
• Hybrid work schedule in Tempe, Arizona
• Relocation not provided
