Interventional Pain Physician
Job Title: Interventional Pain Physician (Neurology Background Preferred)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Interventional Pain Physician with a background in Neurology to join our multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to combine expertise in neurological disorders with advanced interventional pain management techniques to improve patients’ quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, particularly those with neurological origins.
Perform a wide range of interventional pain management procedures, including but not limited to epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and other minimally invasive techniques.
Develop individualized, comprehensive treatment plans that may include pharmacologic, interventional, behavioral, and rehabilitative therapies.
Collaborate with neurologists, physiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physical therapists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
Provide patient education regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, and lifestyle modifications.
Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
Stay current with advancements in interventional pain management, neurology, and related fields.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
Completion of an accredited Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship.
Board certification or eligibility in Pain Medicine.
Valid medical license (or ability to obtain) in the state of practice.
Strong procedural skills and clinical judgment in both neurology and interventional pain management.
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in treating patients with complex neurological pain conditions such as neuropathic pain, radiculopathy, headache disorders, and post-stroke pain syndromes.
Familiarity with advanced neuromodulation therapies.
Previous experience in private practice, hospital, or multidisciplinary clinic setting.
