What This Role Actually Is

RestorationHQ was founded in 2015 to serve Phoenix-area commercial property owners with rapid, high-quality emergency restoration. Water damage. Fire and smoke. Mold. Biohazard. Asbestos abatement. 24/7/365. We don't do residential — we go deep in the commercial space, and we're expanding.

As Director of Sales & Business Development, you'll lead our Biz Dev and Sales team — but this role goes well beyond traditional sales leadership. You'll also serve as a brand driver: shaping how RestorationHQ shows up in the market through digital content, social media, and consistent storytelling about who we are and what we do.

You'll report directly to ownership. No layers. No politics. Real authority, real accountability.

What You'll Own

Team Leadership & Culture
Lead, inspire, and manage the Biz Dev/Sales team. Set the standard for a high-performance culture where people feel valued and motivated to win. Address friction and team dynamics proactively — before they become bigger problems.

Vision Execution & Goal Alignment
Take the company's strategic vision from ownership and translate it into clear, measurable objectives your team can execute. Make sure everyone understands the why behind the direction.

Talent Development
Coach and develop a young, hungry sales team. Build individualized development plans. Close skill gaps. Retain your best people by investing in them.

Sales Strategy & Growth
Build and execute strategies to drive new business acquisition and expand existing client relationships across all key verticals. Hold the team — and yourself — to measurable outcomes.

Social Media & Brand Marketing
Own RestorationHQ's social media presence as an active participant — not just an overseer. Create and post content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and beyond. Showcase our team, our work, our culture, and our expertise. Help make RestorationHQ the name in commercial restoration across Arizona.

Digital Engagement
Engage with followers, respond to the community, and amplify the moments that build our reputation — project highlights, team wins, client milestones, industry insights.

Recruiting & Team Building
Help identify and recruit the next wave of sales talent. Build the team you want to lead.

Client Engagement & Closing
Step in to support key relationships, escalate critical issues, and close high-value opportunities. Be the resource your team reaches for when the stakes are high.

Emergency Services Advocacy
Champion our 24/7/365 emergency response line as a core differentiator — in every room and on every platform.

Reporting & Market Intelligence
Keep ownership informed with transparent pipeline reporting and forecasts. Stay sharp on industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts.

What We're Looking For

• Proven sales leadership track record — restoration experience strongly preferred, but top performers from any industry will be considered
• Experience managing, mentoring, and developing sales teams including early-career professionals
• Demonstrated ability to build team culture, resolve conflict, and create environments where people grow
• Active, business-focused social media presence — you've built or contributed to a brand online, not just scrolled
• Strong grasp of how digital marketing and in-person sales work together to build pipeline
• Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills — candor and empathy, not one or the other
• CRM proficiency and comfort with digital sales tools
• Composure under pressure — this is an emergency-response business, and pace is part of the culture
