CVICU RN Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 – Premier Arizona nursing job location with proximity to Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon.
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (locum tenens)
• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), blended ICU, 16 beds, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/29/2025 – End: 3/30/2026)
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit and Emergency Department (ED) holding as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Arizona or compact state preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Experience with Medhost EHR and Baxter infusion pumps is a plus
• Strong clinical skills in STEMI, NSTEMI, CABG, valve repair/replacement, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, and trauma care
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular and medical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit and assist with Emergency Department holding as required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Medhost EHR
• Adhere to hospital policies, including attendance and dress code (scrubs required)
• Participate in call rotation and respond promptly to emergent situations
