Maintenance Technician III

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Salary: $72,000-$80,000

Overview

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to support our clients regulated manufacturing operations in the animal healthcare industry. This is a hands-on, senior-level role focused on troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and supporting production uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex issues across industrial equipment, including PLC-controlled and automated systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to maximize equipment performance
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot system issues
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications; assist with small project leadership
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and communicate equipment status to cross-functional teams
• Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, confined space, etc.)
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior maintenance technicians
• Respond quickly to production downtime and urgent maintenance needs

Schedule & Requirements

• Hours assigned based on business needs; rotating Fridays and overtime as required
• On-call support for second shift as needed (compensated)
• Ability to perform physical job demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience with CMMS, troubleshooting complex equipment, and lean manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments, cGMP, HACCP, SDS, and regulatory agencies (OSHA, FDA, EPA)
• Experience with IQ/OQ preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
