About the Role:

The Outside Sales position at Citadel Access Solutions, is a dynamic role focused on driving business growth through direct client engagement and relationship building. The primary objective is to identify and secure new sales opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing customer accounts. This role requires a strategic approach to understanding client needs and delivering tailored access solutions that meet those requirements. The successful candidate will act as the face of the company in the field, representing Citadel Access Solutions with professionalism and expertise. Ultimately, this position aims to increase market share and revenue by fostering long-term partnerships and delivering exceptional customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in outside sales or a similar client-facing sales role, preferably within the access solutions or security industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within the assigned sales territory.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with technical sales or knowledge of access control systems and security products.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to analyze market data and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Additional certifications related to sales or security systems are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Identify potential clients through research, networking, and cold calling to generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct in-person meetings and presentations to demonstrate product features and benefits tailored to client needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their business challenges and providing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure client satisfaction and successful project implementation.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and proposals to management.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.

Skills:

The required and preferred skills are essential for effectively managing the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills enable the sales professional to engage clients, understand their needs, and present solutions persuasively. Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office supports efficient tracking of sales activities, customer interactions, and reporting. Technical knowledge of access control systems enhances the ability to explain product features and address client questions confidently. Additionally, analytical skills help in interpreting market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and improve overall performance.
