Construction Estimator - Restoration

Are you an experienced restoration estimator who enjoys solving complex problems, building relationships, and helping property owners recover after a disaster? We're looking for a driven professional who can confidently manage the estimating process from the initial inspection through project approval.
This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have hands-on experience writing estimates in Xactimate . Experience with Symbility is a plus but is not required.
Position Overview
As a Restoration Estimator, you will inspect residential and commercial property losses, develop accurate repair estimates, work directly with insurance professionals, and help homeowners and property managers navigate the reconstruction process. This role requires someone who is organized, customer-focused, and motivated to turn opportunities into completed projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site inspections of residential and commercial property losses.
- Document damages by taking photographs, measurements, and sketches.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using Xactimate.
- Collaborate with project managers, insurance adjusters, and property managers to develop accurate scopes of work.
- Guide homeowners and clients through the reconstruction process while providing exceptional customer service.
- Follow up with homeowners, adjusters, and other decision-makers to secure reconstruction projects.
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate supplements and change orders until approved.
- Manage multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance professionals, and referral partners.
- Stay current on industry standards, pricing, and restoration best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in restoration, insurance claims, or construction.
- Advanced proficiency in Xactimate is required.
- Experience with Symbility is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a proactive mindset.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Compensation & Benefits
- $95,000-$110,000 annual salary

- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Schedule
This is a full-time position, generally Monday through Friday. Because we provide emergency restoration services, occasional evening, weekend, or after-hours support may be required based on business needs.
