Java Developer Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer Architect for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. You will define end-to-end architecture for Java-based applications and lead API-led integrations with internal and external systems.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Developer Architect job responsibilities include:

• Define end-to-end architecture for Java-based applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

• Design and govern RESTful APIs (and GraphQL if applicable) using best practices such as OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Architect microservices-based systems leveraging Spring Boot and Spring Cloud for modular and resilient solutions.

• Lead integration efforts with internal/external systems and third-party services, ensuring seamless connectivity.

• Establish standards for API security, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management to maintain compliance and reliability.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments, while mentoring developers and reviewing designs for architectural compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Java development, with at least 3–4 years in an architectural role.

• Strong expertise in designing RESTful APIs and architecting microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.

• Proven experience in API-led integration, security standards, and CI/CD pipeline collaboration for cloud deployments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
