2026 Summer Intern - Finance Insights and Data Analyst (Tucson)

Department Summary

• Providing specialist expertise: Underpinning everything is the ongoing mastery of the basics of Finance

This position is based in Tucson, AZ, On-Site.

The Opportunity

• Assist in financial analysis and forecasting in expense, headcount, inventory and capital expenditure to support strategic decision-making processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for budgeting and planning purposes.

• Conduct research on market trends, industry competitors, and emerging opportunities to support financial analysis.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and documentation.

• Contribute to the optimization of financial processes and systems.

• Collaborate with senior finance professionals to learn and apply financial principles and best practices.

• Support ad-hoc finance projects as assigned, providing valuable contributions to the team.

Program Highlights

• Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

• Program start dates are in May/June

• A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

• Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

• Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are (Requirements)

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student / completed at least 2 years of college/university).

Required majors: Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics.

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Growth-minded, curious learner that finds accomplishment in dealing with reduction of complexity, simplification and unexplored paths

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $21- $26/hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
