The Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing key customer relationships while ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and accuracy across all assigned accounts. This role ensures that all loads are built accurately and in a timely manner, meeting customer expectations and internal standards. The Logistics Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for customer-driving revenue growth, ensuring high service performance, and identifying new opportunities through proactive communication and market analysis.

Generate and identify new sales opportunities through market research, analysis, and business development efforts.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts by handling day-to-day operational and service requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to support long-term business growth.
Conduct daily outreach to carriers to secure additional freight capacity and strengthen network coverage.
Operate independently with strong decision-making skills to manage accounts and daily operations effectively.
Negotiate competitive freight rates and secure capacity with carriers.
Monitor daily shipments to ensure on-time pickup, transit, and delivery performance.
Monitor customer emails and communications after hours to provide timely updates, support, and issue resolution.
Assist with high-level operational issues during after-hours and weekend coverage to ensure service continuity.
Qualify carriers thoroughly to minimize service failures and ensure compliance standards are met.
Take ownership of critical shipments and high-priority customer accounts to ensure successful execution.
Assess customer transportation needs and provide customized logistics solutions.
Match customer freight demands with accurate pricing and carrier options.
Develop strategies to drive revenue growth and strengthen customer and carrier partnerships.
Resolve complex transportation and service issues while serving as the primary point of contact for accounts.
Organize and manage shipments in alignment with company “No Fail” service expectations.
Collaborate with internal teams on pricing strategies and account implementation plans.
Review sales performance, pipeline activity, and prospective opportunities with management regularly.
Compensation
- Position range: $50K–$65K
