Advise client at all stages of the disability process;

prepare clients for administrative hearings;

advocate for clients at administrative hearings; and

write administrative appeals to the Appeals Council when applicable.

These responsibilities require strong organizational skills, communication skills, and legal analysis.

Represent clients in all phases of Social Security Disability claims, including initial applications, reconsiderations, Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) hearings, and Appeals Council reviews.

Conduct detailed client interviews to assess eligibility for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.

Review, analyze, and develop medical evidence, including treatment records, physician opinions, and expert reports, to support disability claims.

Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, required documentation, and hearing preparation.

Prepare clients for hearings by explaining procedures, reviewing testimony, and addressing potential issues.

Represent clients at hearings before Administrative Law Judges.

Identify and develop legal theories based on Social Security regulations, rulings, and relevant case law.

Manage caseload efficiently while meeting strict deadlines set by the Social Security Administration.

Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and administrative staff to ensure effective case handling.

Ensure compliance with all ethical and professional standards.

Active attorney license in any Jurisdiction (required).

Strong writing skills (required).

Strong organizational skills (required).

The ability to handle a high volume of work proficiently (required).

A background in Social Security Disability law or appellate work.

Desired Experience: 1 to 3 years.
