LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a Mortgage company in Tempe, AZ that is looking to add a Customer Servicing Specialist to the team. The Servicing Specialist plays a critical role in managing loans at risk of or in default. This position is responsible for providing accurate, friendly, and efficient customer service and collections support within established service levels and in compliance with investor, company, state, and federal guidelines.
Position Details:This is a high-volume call center position.
M-F 9am to 6pm
Onsite position. After training interim 90 days, 3 days in-office Hybrid Schedule.
Pay range $22-$25 per hour depending on years of experience.
This position requires prior recent experience with mortgage collections or default to qualify.
Key ResponsibilitiesHandle high volumes of inbound/outbound calls and emails.
Respond to borrower inquiries, voicemails, and written correspondence.
Provide first-call resolution and escalate issues per protocol
Monitor and manage a queue of delinquent loans.
Identify borrower challenges leading to delinquency.
Offer solutions including payment plans, loan modifications, and hardship assistance.
Process payments and set up repayment schedules.
Perform data entry and updates in loan servicing systems.
Document borrower interactions and system tasks accurately.
Adhere to all customer identification verification policies.
Understand and apply investor guidelines (FHA, FNMA, GNMA, VA, USDA).
Maintain compliance with foreclosure, loss mitigation, and bankruptcy procedures.
Communicate with internal departments and external vendors regarding loan status.
Collaborate with attorneys and real estate agents on foreclosure and loss mitigation cases.
High School Diploma required
2+ years of recent experience in mortgage servicing, collections, or default
Familiarity with Fannie Mae, GNMA, and other investor systems preferred.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, call center environment.
Experience with servicing platforms such MSP.
