Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Pay Range: $20–$23/hour

Position Overview

We are hiring a Production Operator II to join our manufacturing team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for ensuring production quality, performing assembly builds, and maintaining cleanroom standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assembly builds according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions

• Conduct sub-system and leak testing; rework products as needed to meet quality standards

• Train new employees using buddy system and documentation support

• Maintain cleanroom protocols and adhere to manufacturing discipline

• Communicate effectively in simple English and interpret basic engineering drawings

• Ensure efficient shift passdown and highlight abnormalities or issues

• Participate in continuous improvement and housekeeping activities

• Support ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor

Additional Responsibilities

• Process and clean tool chamber parts to eliminate micro-contamination

• Operate machines and chemical processes tailored to part composition and coatings

• Package, inspect, and ship parts in cleanroom or chemical processing environments

• Follow SOPs and quality protocols; wear required PPE at all times

• Assist Production Supervisor with safety, quality, and workflow oversight

• Monitor KPIs and contribute to action plans for improvement

• Document safety, quality, personnel, and equipment issues

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic engineering drawing interpretation

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and fast-paced production

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel preferred)

• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical associate degree or college coursework preferred

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

• Leadership or team lead experience preferred

• Experience in parts cleaning and coating technologies a plus

• SPC measurement and data logging experience desirable

• Kaizen or Lean training is a major plus

• Quality Assurance background preferred

Schedule and Flexibility

• Must be able to work overtime as required

• Flexibility for occasional weekend or evening shifts

• Must be able to wear cleanroom gowning and PPE
