Job Title: Quality Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to work within an FAA 14 CFR Part 21 and Part 145 repair station. Our company specializes in manufacturing lap belts, multi-point safety restraints, and airbag systems for aircraft. The ideal candidate will be responsible for following procedures and managing all documentation and data related to the repair and overhaul of equipment. Experience with any aerospace component repair station is sufficient, as specific experience with safety restraints is not required. Responsibilities + Maintain and manage ISO/AS9100 quality documentation and FAA 14 CFR Part 21 and Part 145 quality system documentation. + Act as the primary point of contact for customer auditors and regulatory agencies, coordinating on-site quality audits. + Maintain a large amount of quality system data, including operational performance data and quality management system documents. + Coordinate revisions of quality system documents as needed. + Address product or manufacturing issues related to product line items. + Conduct training sessions for employees and participate in continuous improvement events. + Coordinate procedural initiatives and manage multiple databases for quality records. Essential Skills + 5 years of experience with FAA Part 145 quality system documentation. + 5 years of experience with AS-9100 FAA quality standards. + 5 years of aerospace quality systems experience. + Proficiency in root cause analysis. + Experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS in an engineering or technical discipline is preferred. + Competence in electromechanical assemblies. + Formal and current accreditation as an ISO/AS9100 lead auditor. + Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a quality systems engineering discipline. + Above-average interpersonal skills and excellent organizational abilities. Work Environment This position operates in an office and manufacturing environment, including time spent in the FAA repair station and quality labs such as metrology. The role is 100% onsite, offering a small company culture with the financial backing and resources of a larger corporation. LIFE AND AD&D INSURANCE - Eligible as of date of hire- Employee Basic Life and AD&D benefit is 2x your annual base salary up to $1,000,000. If your benefit is over $50,000, you may select $50,000 to avoid imputed income tax. In the future, if you want to change your election from $50,000 to 2x your annual salary, you will have to go through Evidence of Insurability. Newly hired employees earning more than $50,000 will be defaulted to the 2x annual base salary up to the $1,000,000 coverage level If no enrollment action is taken.- Employee -Supplemental Life increments of $10,000 up to the lesser of 5x your base salary or $500,000 - Newly eligible to elect up to $200,000 without going through Evidence of Insurability- Spouse - Supplemental Life increments of $5,000 up to the lesser of $250,000 or 50% of the employees benefit amount - Newly eligible to elect up to $50,000 without going through Evidence of insurability.- Child(ren) - Supplemental Life increments of $5,000 up to $20,000.
