What We're Looking For:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Previous experience in school-based special education environments preferred
- Ability to develop and carry out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and adaptability when working with a range of students
- Deep commitment to helping all learners succeed
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct students according to their IEPs, adapting curriculum and teaching techniques to meet varied needs
- Work closely with families, general education teachers, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress toward goals
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
- Address diverse learning, social, and emotional needs, providing targeted interventions as needed
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing staff collaboration
