Semiconductor Inspection & Test Associate
We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Inspection & Test Associate to support our quality operations and ensure every part meets strict technical and performance standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on inspection work, precision measurement, and contributing to a team that values accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.
You’ll work with advanced materials and components used in high‑tech applications, performing inspections, tests, and documentation that directly support product quality and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
You will perform a wide range of inspection and testing activities, including:
- Measuring angles, radii, contours, thread leads, and other critical dimensions
- Positioning workpieces and laying out reference points and centerlines
- Testing parts for fit, movement, and mechanical function
- Performing hardness tests and surface‑finish measurements
- Inspecting first‑run parts and assemblies for accuracy
- Using ultrasonic equipment, fluorescent lighting, and other tools to detect flaws or internal fissures
- Inspecting, adjusting, and verifying gauges and measuring instruments
- Reviewing defective parts to determine root cause and recommending corrective actions
- Determining salvageability of non‑conforming items
- Creating enlarged part details for optical comparator use
- Completing inspection reports and documentation accurately
- Performing minor preventative maintenance on inspection equipment
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Working part of the time in a cleanroom environment
What You Bring
- Certificate from a technical school or one year of related education/training
- 3–6 months of relevant inspection, testing, or manufacturing experience (or equivalent combination)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
- Comfort using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication skills and ability to document findings clearly
- Willingness to work around moving machinery, chemicals, and moderate noise
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing/walking tasks throughout the shift
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands for precision work
- Occasional reaching, bending, kneeling, or crouching
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and chemicals
- Moderate noise level
- Close‑vision and focus‑adjustment ability required
