Job Summary: Assists and supports Veterinary Technicians and Senior Veterinary Assistants in the completion of their responsibilities. The Veterinary Assistant performs a variety of patient- and client-care duties and operational tasks, which may include, but are not limited to: providing patient husbandry, handling, and restraint; anticipating needs and preparing supplies and equipment for exams, treatments and procedures; maintaining clean and functional facilities and equipment; creating and maintaining medical records; and providing client service.

Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Approved Veterinary Assistant certificate/graduate of NAVTA-accredited veterinary assistant training program.
• Preferred: Six months of relevant experience.

Salary

$17 - $19 per hour
