Arizona Nursing Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020–$2070
• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona nursing jobs)
• Facility: Community hospital, 171 beds, Level III Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (40 beds)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens, travel RN contract
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Call Requirement: None (may flex to on-call up to twice per contract)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Electronic Health Record: Medhost
• Scrub Color: Black (top and bottom)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Arizona or compact state
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience, including telemetry nursing
• Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio in a med/surg telemetry setting
• Flexibility to float to IMC or Emergency Department (ED) as needed
• Strong clinical skills, compassionate care, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Preceptor or charge nurse experience is a plus

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, interpret, and document telemetry rhythms
• Care for patients with post-surgical, total joint, ACS, CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GI bleed diagnoses
• Administer medications and manage IVs using Baxter pumps
• Operate hospital equipment including Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicel drug dispensing cabinets, and Zoll defibrillators
• Document patient care accurately in Medhost EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other units as required to support hospital staffing needs
