SRE Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a SRE Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. Candidates with strong expertise in Core Java, cloud technologies, and production support in fast‑paced environments .

Rate Range: $41/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

SRE Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Monitor and maintain the health, availability, and performance of production systems using tools like Splunk, Kibana, and Grafana.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and timely service restoration.

• Perform L1/L2 support activities including defect identification and coordination with development teams for prioritized fixes.

• Implement and validate RFCs, including pre‑ and post‑deployment checks during traffic diversion and system changes.

• Develop and enhance monitoring dashboards, alerts, and automation scripts to improve visibility and reduce manual workloads.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to adopt reliability best practices, optimize system performance, and support on‑call rotations for critical issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.

• 4–7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Support, or related roles.

• Strong hands‑on expertise with Core Java, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (Splunk, Kibana, Grafana).

• Proven experience in L1/L2 support, incident management, debugging, and working in Agile/Scrum environments within the banking or financial domain.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $47.00 per hour
