Job Title: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

We are partnering with an organization seeking a Sr. Java Developer to support the development and enhancement of enterprise applications that automate service delivery, provisioning, and operational workflows. This role will focus on building scalable backend services, integrating business and operational platforms, and supporting mission-critical systems that drive customer-facing technology services.

The ideal candidate brings strong Java and Spring Boot experience, enjoys solving complex integration challenges, and has experience working in enterprise environments with multiple systems, APIs, and external partners. Experience within telecommunications, networking, or service delivery environments is highly desirable.

Your role:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services.
• Build scalable integrations between business, operational, and technical systems.
• Develop and support REST and SOAP-based APIs and web services.
• Automate operational workflows and service delivery processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors.
• Analyze requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support platform migrations, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Contribute to code reviews, development standards, and best practices.

What you've got:

• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar containerized environments.
• Experience with Git, source control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Experience within telecommunications, networking, or service delivery environments.
• Experience supporting device provisioning and workflow automation platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and messaging frameworks.
• Experience supporting applications with numerous third-party integrations.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise systems and operational support environments.
