RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Periodically float to ED, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics based on census needs
• Provide inpatient care and support in the 5-bed ICU to individuals of all ages and their families
• Handle after-hours recovery of post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as needed
• Must have at least 3 years of prior ICU experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Must maintain current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN)
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
• Must complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within 6 months of hire
• Must complete National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS within 6 months of hire
• Perform variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and independent work ability
• Follow doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures, and hospital policies
• Shared contractor housing only, no pets or family allowed
• Orientation provided every 2 weeks
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date

This JCAHO accredited health center serves a 4,400 square mile area and functions as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The hospital has a 73-bed capacity and provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. The facility performs approximately 49% of surgeries as outpatient/ambulatory procedures and maintains a diverse medical staff including specialists in various fields alongside a comprehensive nursing team.
