Beat: Water and Climate Reporter
Position:
The Water and Climate Reporter covers water management, scarcity and resilience across Southern Arizona and the state. The position examines how historical and current water policies shape access, sustainability and environmental health.
This beat centers the experiences and expertise of Tribal Nations, rural communities and neighborhoods most affected by water insecurity, and explores how decisions made by governments, utilities, and other institutions impact everyday life for residents in Southern Arizona. The position is part of a partnership with the High Country News Western Environmental Collaborative (WERC).
Salary and Benefits: $55,000-$60,000

Moving Stipend: Moving stipend is $500.
