Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and repairing machinery to ensure optimal performance. This role involves both major and minor repairs on various engine types, as well as welding repairs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components in machinery.
• Conduct novice level welding repairs using MIG & SMAW techniques.
• Perform major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
• 2+ years experience with performing diagnostics and repairs.
• 2+ years experience troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems.
• 1+ year experience troubleshooting diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• 3+ years experience with electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.

Work Environment

Work in a well-equipped facility with the shift running from 7AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr.
