Salary: $50-$60 DOE
Job Summary
As a Crane Mechanic, you will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on various types of cranes. You will work with hydraulic, electrical, diesel, pneumatic, and mechanical systems while following safety regulations and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cranes and lifting equipment for mechanical or safety issues
- Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, engine, transmission, and structural problems
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Repair or replace defective parts such as brakes, cables, motors, bearings, and hydraulic components
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Conduct load testing and operational testing after repairs
- Maintain maintenance logs and service records
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Travel to construction sites, ports, industrial plants, or customer locations when needed
- Operate diagnostic tools and specialized repair equipment

Required Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- Welding and fabrication experience (preferred)
- Ability to use diagnostic software and tools
- Understanding of OSHA safety requirements
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights or outdoors
- Good communication and documentation skills
Work Environment
- On construction sites
- In equipment yards or repair shops
- At mines, factories, or power plants
- Outdoors in varying weather conditions
- On-call for emergency repairs
