Instructional Designer
- First-year compensation $80,000 - $115,000 annually (DOE)

- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of experience in instructional design or curriculum development, with a portfolio of previous work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and at least one major course authoring tool (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate).
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with behavioral health terminology and concepts.
- Familiarity with Predictive Index
- Experience designing for healthcare professionals or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of LMS administration and SCORM/xAPI standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Design and develop learning solutions (e-learning, instructor-led, blended) aligned with adult learning principles and healthcare compliance standards.
- Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex clinical concepts into clear, learner-friendly content.
- Build courses using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, or similar platforms.
- Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Conduct needs analysis and recommends appropriate learning strategies.
- Ensure accessibility and usability standards are met (WCAG, Section 508 where applicable).
- Evaluate learning effectiveness and iterate based on feedback and data.
- Develop and maintain learning content: Create new courses and update existing materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS): Upload courses, track learner progress, generate reports, and troubleshoot user issues.
- Handle training requests: Assess new content requests, prioritize based on organizational needs, and coordinate with subject matter experts.
- Attend project and stakeholder meetings: Provide updates, gather requirements, and ensure alignment with learning objectives.
- Stay current on industry trends: Monitor developments in instructional design, healthcare regulations, and behavioral health best practices to keep content fresh and effective.
- Ensure accessibility and compliance: Maintain adherence to WCAG and Section 508 (where applicable) standards for all learning materials.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness: Collect feedback, analyze data, and recommend improvements for continuous enhancement.
