Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) degree, active Physical Therapy Assistant license, and 1+ years Physical Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) opportunity is available in Yuma, AZ, supporting an elementary school setting from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027 (dates subject to change). This onsite position provides crucial support to students under the supervision of licensed therapists during regular school hours.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in delivering physical therapy services tailored to the individual needs of students
- Collaborating with educators and therapists to develop and implement therapy plans
- Monitoring and documenting student progress accurately
- Adhering to all school policies and professional standards
Qualifications and requirements:
- Valid Arizona Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- IVP fingerprint clearance card as mandated by state regulations
- Experience working as a PTA within a school environment is preferred
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
This position involves working full-time at one location with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. The specific grade level and caseload will be determined and communicated prior to starting.
