Project Accountant

The Opportunity:
We have an immediate opening for a regular full-time Project Accountan t to work a hybrid remote schedule based out of our downtown Tempe, Arizona office.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain projects in database.
- Maintains project billing schedules and budget information.
- Prepares complex project billings and supplementary information.
- Performs accounts receivable collections, as requested, and manages work in process billings.
- Works closely with project managers to review contracts, project costs, budgets, and schedules.
- Assists with month-end bookkeeping duties, as required.
- Assists with other clerical tasks, as requested.
- Demonstrates accurate judgment about the applicability of project cost accounting, federal cost accounting standards, and federal/state payroll and payroll tax regulations to numerous accounting situations.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2+ years of related accounting experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and adjust to daily changes in priorities to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work in the office 3 days per week on average.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consulting industry or AEC industry.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint.

- Compensation – This is a full-time position paid on a salaried basis between $45,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
