Infrastructure Security Principal Engineer

**About this role:** We are seeking an experienced Security Principal Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding cybersecurity team. This individual will be responsible for providing expert-level guidance and executing strategies across a diverse range of security topics, including but not limited to Security Logging & Monitoring, Endpoint Security, Network Security, and Infrastructure Security Baseline Configurations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in information security, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead initiatives to enhance our security infrastructure. **In this role, you will:** + Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups + Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking + Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions + Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions + Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization + Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership + Provide technical leadership and expert guidance on security strategies and initiatives + Develop and implement policies and procedures for Security Logging & Monitoring, Endpoint Security, Network Security, and Infrastructure Security Baseline Configurations + Conduct assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend necessary security enhancements + Collaborate with different teams within the organization to ensure the consistent application of security policies and standards + Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into security policies and protocols + Participate in the resolution of high-profile security challenges, providing technical expertise + Train and mentor other members of the security team, promoting a culture of security awareness across the organization **Required Qualifications:** + 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 7+ years of experience in information security areas such as; Security Logging & Monitoring, Endpoint Security, Network Security, and Infrastructure Security Configurations + 5+ years using various security technologies and tools, including but not limited to SIEM, IDS/IPS, anti-malware, vulnerability scanning, and encryption + 5+ years technical leadership and proven expert guidance on security strategies and initiatives. **Desired Qualifications:** + Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a high-pressure environment + Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members + Keen attention to detail, with a commitment to high standards in security + Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree or other advanced degree is also preferred + Hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH + Deep understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security controls + Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of associated security challenges and best practices + Solid knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Job Expectations:** + This is a hybrid role and will be required to be on-site in one of the locations listed on the job posting + This role is not available visa sponsorship **Pay Range** Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
