Mechanic / Parts Runner
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Mechanic / Parts Runner to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our maintenance operations by ensuring timely delivery and pickup of parts, assisting mechanics, and maintaining organization within the shop. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Pick up and deliver parts, tools, and equipment to and from job sites, suppliers, and vendors.
Assist mechanics with basic maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, receipts, and inventory.
Keep the shop, vehicles, and storage areas clean, organized, and stocked.
Inspect vehicles and equipment for safety and report any issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with the shop foreman, mechanics, and project teams to ensure timely parts availability.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Provide general support to the maintenance department as required.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
Previous experience in construction, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to lift and move parts or tools up to 50 lbs.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
