Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Part-Time - Chandler, AZ

Position Overview
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized support to students in a school-based setting in Chandler, AZ. The TVI will work with students who are blind or visually impaired to develop individualized learning plans, provide direct instruction, and collaborate with teachers, certified paraprofessionals, and families to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are blind or visually impaired

• Develop and implement individualized learning and functional vision plans

• Collaborate with teachers, certified paraprofessionals, and other school staff to promote student success

• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress

• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for instructional strategies and accommodations

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

• Active Arizona TVI license required

• Arizona IVP fingerprint card required

• Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

• Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment
