CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set Up Machinist to join our dynamic team in Chandler, AZ, 85286. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision parts. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes according to specifications and production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience

• Knowledge of set-up and operation of CNC Lathe machines with excellent attention to detail

• Experience in machining various materials including aluminum, plastics, steel and stainless steel

• Reads and understands blueprints, job routing, tooling instructions, and standard charts for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions such as type of holding fixtures, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used

• Know how to use various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, plug gauges, etc.

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis

• Must be able to stand majority of the shift

• Works well with others

• Adapts to changes in the work environment and the ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
