**Job Title: Slab Associate**
**Job Description**
Work in a warehouse and slab yard environment, assisting in guiding large slabs of natural and manufactured stone to viewing areas and shipping docks. Candidates should have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. The role involves outdoor work, requiring exposure to the elements and a significant amount of walking. Minimal heavy lifting is required, as the main focus is on guiding and maneuvering slabs. Basic customer interaction is also part of the role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Guide large slabs of natural and manufactured stone to viewing areas and shipping docks.
+ Engage in basic customer interaction as needed.
+ Adapt to working outdoors and being exposed to weather conditions.
+ Walk extensively throughout the day, approximately 6-10 miles.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in warehouse, labor, or construction.
+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
+ Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Entry-level candidates are welcome.
+ Forklift experience is helpful but not required.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a warehouse setting, part of a national distributor of natural and manufactured stone, tile, and other solid surfaces for commercial and residential applications. Initially, work on a mornings from 7am to 5pm for two weeks before transitioning to a night shift from 12pm to 8:30pm. Optional overtime is available on Saturdays, with closures on Sundays and holidays. Employees are provided with water, ice, Gatorade, and coffee, along with frequent breaks during summer for hydration. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, work jeans, and a plain t-shirt. While heavy lifting is not required, comfortable closed-toed steel shoes are necessary due to extensive walking.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
