The Processing, Guidance and Controls (PG&C) Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Directorate consists of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Signal Processing (SP) and Modeling and Simulation disciplines for Effectors. The PG&C Center is currently hiring for a **Sr. Principal Systems Engineer** **- Control Systems Expert** in Tucson, AZ. As the **Sr. Principal Systems Engineer -** **Control Systems Expert,** This critical role will support the development of the future technology that will enable Raytheon to continue to provide outstanding products to the warfighter. This is an onsite position located in Tucson, AZ. **What You Will Do** + You will apply and spread knowledge of control systems, vehicle dynamics, and missile system performance to shape the development of future advanced systems + You will be responsible for the technical execution of advanced technology projects. + You will work directly with Technology Directors and Primary Investigators to further the capabilities of Raytheon missile systems. + You will provide direction, oversight, and mentoring to team members. + You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure system effectiveness. **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience + Experience working on a missile program + Experience in control systems, performance analysis + Experience coding in MATLAB, C++, and/or Python + Experience with mentoring and/or leading small teams + Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required prior to start date **Qualifications We Prefer** + PhD in Engineering discipline and extensive years of applicable industry experience in missile design and analysis + Experience in formal teaching setting, such as the Air Force Institute of Technology, Accredited University, etc. + Experience working on multidisciplinary teams + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines + Ability to manage multiple competing priorities **What We Offer** + Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
