Physical Therapy Assistant - Scottsdale Area

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans and assist patients in their recovery journey. Your expertise in various therapeutic techniques and patient care will be vital in helping individuals regain mobility, strength, and overall well-being.

Duties:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans as directed by the physical therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to enhance patient recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and pediatric settings.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients post-treatment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy practices, including trigger point therapy and orthopedic techniques.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience or familiarity with outpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or pediatric care is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient care.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes is a plus.
