Remote Insurance Agent
The Forehand Agency seeks a remote Insurance Agent to sell life and health insurance, cultivate client relationships, and provide consultative guidance to prospects and policyholders. This role emphasizes consultative selling, accurate recordkeeping, and consistent delivery of professional customer service within a small, collaborative team.
Primary responsibilities
- Sell life and health insurance products using consultative sales techniques within an assigned territory.
- Identify and develop new business through prospecting, timely lead follow-up, and referral generation.
- Perform comprehensive needs assessments and recommend coverage solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Prepare and present clear proposals that outline policy features, benefits, limitations, and costs.
- Maintain long-term client relationships through regular follow-up, policy reviews, and ongoing service activities.
- Keep accurate CRM records and ensure timely submission of required paperwork and documentation.
- Stay current on product knowledge, regulatory requirements, and underwriting guidelines.
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets and participate in incentive programs as applicable.
Qualifications
- Current state life and health insurance license, or willingness and ability to obtain and maintain required licensure.
- Proven sales or client-service experience; prior insurance experience preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple accounts.
- Analytical ability to interpret coverage details and underwriting requirements and explain them clearly to clients.
- Proficiency with basic PC applications and willingness to learn CRM and other agency software.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering a high standard of client service.
Compensation and benefits
- Commission-based compensation; expected total compensation is $90,000 to $120,000 annually.
