The ideal Staff Accountant/Sr. Staff Accountant will bring expertise in accounting processes and a collaborative approach to working with project teams and management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.

• Oversee job costing and project setup in coordination with Project Managers.

• Handle corporate tax filings, including personal property tax and sales tax.

• Accurately code transactions to maintain integrity in the general ledger.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance.

• Prepare and review journal entries to support financial reporting requirements.

• Utilize Sage Intacct software to manage accounting tasks effectively.

• Provide support for corporate tax return preparation and submission.

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain accuracy.

• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and property tax filing processes.

• Demonstrated expertise in journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's/Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
