Job Description

The Clean Room Sort & Tally position involves refurbishing surgical instruments through a meticulous cleaning and sorting process. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and tally surgical instruments ranging from 10" to 30" in length.
• Move cases through a metal detector before initiating the cleaning process.
• Gown up in clean room attire at the start of each shift.
• Lift bins weighing up to 50 pounds into a dishwasher-style unit (infrequently).
• Perform manual sorting, cleaning, power washing, and chemical cleaning of surgical instruments.
• Label and sort cleaned instruments into their designated bins.
• Participate in sweeping daily and mopping twice weekly as part of an all-hands duty.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Willingness and capability to gown up in clean room gear.
• Quality mindset and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates are welcome, training will be provided.
• No specific experience required, but willingness to learn and cross-train is essential.
• Ability to work with surgical instruments that may have residual blood or feces.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, air-conditioned, and brand-new facility. Gown up in full clean room gear, including smocks, booties, gloves, beard nets, hair nets, plastic visors, and safety glasses. Closed-toe tennis shoes and plain shirts are required. Shifts are 5 AM - 1:30 PM (First shift) and 1:30 PM - 10 PM (Second shift), Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
