Executive Kitchen Manager
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Kitchen Manager to join our team! In this leadership role, you will oversee back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth execution, high-quality food, cost efficiency, and an exceptional guest experience. This is a P and L driven position where we are looking to save on food as well as labor.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and packaging.
Maintain production schedules to meet catering orders, events, and wholesale/retail demand.
Monitor food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency to align with company standards.
Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HACCP plans, and sanitation protocols.
Food Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local health department regulations, USDA/US FDA guidelines, and company food safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections of kitchen facilities and equipment for cleanliness and safety.
Train staff on safe food handling, sanitation, and allergen management procedures.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers.
Provide coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
Manage labor costs, schedule shifts efficiently, and approve timekeeping records.
Inventory & Cost Control
Manage ordering, receiving, and storage of food, beverages, and kitchen supplies.
Control food and labor costs to meet company targets while minimizing waste.
Work with vendors to ensure accurate deliveries, maintain par levels, and negotiate pricing when needed.
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with catering, events, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
Communicate production schedules, special events, and menu changes to staff.
Support menu development, seasonal offerings, and product innovation alongside culinary leadership.
Maintenance & Equipment
Oversee proper use and care of kitchen equipment.
Schedule preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and service logs.
What We Offer
Base Salary: $72,000 – $79,000
Benefits Package: Health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days
