Position: Project Manager – Planview Implementation

Duration: Contract to Hire

Location: Phoenix, AZ - open to remote candidates willing to travel to PHX on as needed basis

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of Project Management experience in enterprise environments
• Deep, hands‑on experience with Planview (Strategic Portfolio Management / PPM)
• Proven experience supporting or leading a fast‑tracked Planview implementation
• End‑to‑end Planview implementation and configuration experience, partnering with admin‑level consultants
• Strong experience managing projects directly within Planview
• Portfolio‑level management, prioritization, and enterprise reporting expertise
• Solid understanding of resource management, capacity planning, and utilization
• Experience establishing and enforcing project management governance, standards, and procedures
• Ability to operate effectively in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models
• Strong ability to coach, train, and enable Project Managers on Planview best practices
• Proven change‑management skills to transition teams to a new tool and new ways of working

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience working in large, complex enterprise or industrial organizations
• Prior consulting or PMO enablement experience
• Exposure to large‑scale transformation or modernization initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Project Manager with deep Planview expertise to support a fast‑tracked Planview implementation and drive adoption across the organization. This role will act as a Planview subject‑matter expert and PM enablement lead, partnering closely with a Planview implementation consultant (admin‑level access) to help configure the system and translate its capabilities into practical, real‑world project and portfolio management practices.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience managing projects and portfolios within Planview, supporting enterprise‑level resource management, and establishing governance that works across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models. This individual will play a critical role in transitioning Project Managers to the new system and new ways of working—coaching teams on scoping, planning, execution, and ensuring Planview is leveraged to improve visibility, efficiency, and delivery outcomes across the enterprise.

Compensation:

$60-70hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
