Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper
Position: Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper
Pay: $18-$20 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, Excel skills, and a general understanding of accounting practices. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other administrative accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Enter invoices, bills, and payments into QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate financial records and files
- Assist with preparing reports and spreadsheets
- Support month-end accounting activities
- Perform general office and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using QuickBooks preferred
- Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Understanding of basic accounting or bookkeeping principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- Previous bookkeeping, accounting clerk, or office administration experience
- Experience working in a small business environment
