Job Title: Clerical Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist Location: Onsite – Tempe, AZ Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerical Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our client's team in Tempe. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys contributing to a collaborative team environment, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is looking to build on their accounts payable experience or simply provide valuable support where it’s needed most. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of accounts payable experience and be proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and sort incoming mail and email related to accounts payable
• Distribute invoices to the appropriate departments or personnel for processing
• Process a portion of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status, discrepancies, and payment inquiries
• Support AP leads with administrative tasks and special projects
• Maintain organized records and assist with document filing and retrieval
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar clerical finance role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required
