Forklift Operater

**Overview** **Job Summary Details:** The Warehouse Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse **Benefit Information:** ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members ( | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) **Basic Qualifications:** - Must be 18 years of age or older - Forklift certification preferred; on the job training provided - No high school diploma, GED or college degree required - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods **Preferred Qualifications:** - One (1) year of similar work experience preferred **Responsibilities:** - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials. - Load and unload trucks and trailers safely. - Move inventory to designated storage areas and maintain organization. - Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. - Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures. - Assist with general warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, and cycle counting. - Use computer, reads work order, or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved - Load materials and/or buggies into trailers and/or trucks - Install strapping or chains to prevent shifting or damage while in transit - Print necessary labels and manifests - Perform janitorial duties such as emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and scrubbing floors A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
